4. Q - How Does DocumentBurster Work?

A - DocumentBurster runs through a series of two steps to distribute targeted reports to e-mails and ftp destinations. It:
a) “Explodes” or splits, the master PDF report into individual PDF attachments based on hidden e-mail tags in the original document; and

b) Distributes each individual PDF report either via e-mail or FTP to the designated recipients.

5. Q - How Do I “Tag” a Report?

A - Put inside your PDF report burst tokens -e.g. {john.george@yahoo.com}. If you want to send to john.george@yahoo.com pages 1, 3 and 11 than these pages should contain the token {john.george@yahoo.com}.

You can use the white color for the burst tokens so it will be invisible for your clients.

6. Q - Can I use DocumentBurster in an automated batch kind of environment?

A - YES. It is very easy to call DocumentBurster from command line in order to automate the process from other scripts. This is how it was designed. Give it a try.

7. Q - What Are the System Requirements for DocumentBurster?

A - DocumentBurster needs Java installed.
Most systems already have Java installed so you need only to run DocumentBurster and see if it is working. Latest version of Java is recommended but it should work with any version >=1.5. Run java -version on command line to see which java you have installed.

8. Q - Can I use DocumentBurster with Web mail servers like Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, etc?

A - YES.

9. Q - Can I use DocumentBurster with SSL or TLS enabled mail servers?

A - YES.

10. Q - Can I use DocumentBurster on Unix/Linux?

A - YES. DocumentBurster GUI is not available under Unix/Linux. However you can achieve all the features of the program by using DocumentBurster.sh shell script file. Please read user guide for more details.

11. Q - What is the price of DocumentBurster?
